With attitude and flavor to spare, the main Dining Room is the heart and soul of The Caves. Tasteful bamboo furnishings and daybeds give this space a mood of laid-back island charm, while surrounding louvered windows offer a cinematic panorama of the indigenous natural landscape. A large painting of Bob Marley with guitar in hand announces a 24-hour, well-stocked bar for you to enjoy drinks and tasty homemade treats throughout the day and night.
Set in an alfresco thatched roof pavilion, and crowned by the Island Outpost flag, breakfast has never tasted quite like this. Enjoy fresh banana pancakes, made-to-order omelettes and daily special Jamaican breakfasts such as steamed callaloo with scotch bonnet pepper, ackee & saltfish and delicious fried dumplings or bammy. Freshly squeezed orange and watermelon juice, as well as thirst-quenching smoothies, always hit the spot.
Indulge your every desire in one of two private cave dining options, Moonbeam and Seastar, where a five-course meal rewrites the book of romance. Imagine being tucked into a cave strewn with pink bougainvillea petals and illuminated by dozens of flickering candles with a private table just for two – not to mention a front row seat by the sea. This is your time to relax, while making sure that all of your appetites are fully satisfied. Negril dining never felt so good.
SET ON THE EDGE OF THE PROPERTY, THE SANDS IN NEGRIL AT THE CAVES IS THE COOLEST SPOT TO BE ALMOST ANY NIGHT OF THE WEEK. THE LARGE, BLUE-TILED BAR WITH INSET STONEWORK AND WICKER ACCENTS PROVIDES A RELAXING DAYTIME RETREAT WITH A PRISTINE SEASIDE VIEW AND COMFY LOUNGE CHAIRS FOR ENDLESS SESSIONS OF SUNNING AND CHILLING. THINGS HEAT UP AT NIGHT, ESPECIALLY ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY EVENINGS WHEN IT OPENS TO THE PUBLIC AND JERK CHICKEN IS PREPARED ON-SITE FOR A DOSE OF TRUE ISLAND LIVING.
What better place to enjoy a glass than at the most coveted nightspot at The Caves, the Blackwell Rum Bar? You enter this ocean hideaway by taking a coral staircase down to the water’s edge, cross a wooden footbridge and arrive at the secret cave. The walls are the actual volcanic cliffs with candles nestled amongst the limestone nooks. As you sip your cocktail, enjoy watching the moon dance over the waves as the night begins to weave its magic.
