Hurricane Policy (in the event that a Hurricane is predicted within 48 hours by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)

On property Guests:

  • Early Departures: In the event the Guest chooses to depart early due to the threat of a Hurricane, resort credit for the same property will be offered for the number of unused nights. Valid for travel within one year. No cash refunds.
  • Extended Stays: In the event that the Guest is forced to extend their stay due to storm related flight delays, the property will continue to offer the nightly rate on which the Guest is booked for each extended night. Balance to be paid in full upon departure.
  • Relocations: If the Resort is forced to close or unable to operate as a result of a hurricane, guests will be required to relocate to an alternate hotel. Any unused room night balance will be refunded to the original form of payment to allow guests to secure alternate accommodation.

Arriving Guests:

Should the Guest be unable to arrive due to flight cancellation, hotel closure or flight delays related to the Hurricane, the Guest may request to change his/her reservation dates for the same number of nights at the original property, rate and category. In this case the hotel will make every effort to confirm the dates requested and the original room category. If the new reservation rates are different from the original rates booked, guests will be required to cover the difference in rates. Valid for travel within one year.

The hotel may, at its sole discretion, require that all arriving guests reschedule their visit until after the hurricane has passed. Arriving guests who elect to arrive, despite our announcement to the contrary, do so with the implicit understanding that no compensation will be forthcoming for any disruption of services and/or inclusions which may occur as a result of the hurricane.
