Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean the parties are! Banish the winter blues with a jaunt to GoldenEye Hotel & Resort (where the average temperature hovers around 85° F) for the second anniversary celebration of the resort’s uber cool, super chill Bizot Bar on Saturday, February 11, 2012.
Set on the western arm of Low Cay Beach, the hot spot is named for Jean-François Bizot, the journalist, musical taste-maker, and founder of Paris-based world music radio station, Radio Nova. Bizot was a great friend of Island Outpost owner Chris Blackwell and was a frequent guest at GoldenEye.
In honor of the bar’s second birthday, Radio Nova will be broadcasting live from the party from noon to 6 pm. A Jamaican band will then take the stage until midnight. Admission is free to guests of GoldenEye, and for non-guests the event costs $150 per person and includes signature Blackwell Rum cocktails, food, and entertainment. Wondering what else to expect? Take a peek at last year’s event here.
Nightly rates start at $840 per night plus tax and service. To stay at GoldenEye or to reserve tickets call 876.688.9007.
If getting down to Jamaica isn’t in the stars for you, simply recreate the party at home…
Step 1: Tune into novaplanet.com for the broadcast
Step 2: Turn up the heat and invite some friends over
Step 3: Pour a glass of Blackwell Rum (Mr. Blackwell prefers to drink it neat, no rocks)
Step 4 (Optional): Fill your apartment with sand and palm trees
